Janata Darbar held at Ambojwadi between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Monday, the 24th. January, 2011. The Janata Darbar was kept by Shri. Aslam Shaikh (MLA) and Shri. Sanjay Nirupam (M.P.) to listen the grievances of residents of Ambojwadi. There was about 700 hundred people gathered for Janata Darbar at Ambojwadi and successfully programme was end at 1:45 pm.

The officers from MCGM, MHADA, MMRDA, Police, Collector office, Rationing office, etc. were called for the meeting at Janata Darbar.

Mr. Aslam Shaikh said that he has already constructed four new toilets at Ambojwadi and additional four new toilets of 10 seater will be constructed in the coming days.

A new water pipe line works of 36 inches is under process and will be completed within three months will increase the water pressure.

An electric substation is proposed of 8.0 ft. x 5.0 ft to overcome the electricity load and survey from collector office is recently conducted for it. Every soon the electric substation will be constructed by
Reliance Energy Ltd.

The 60% of Kaccha road in have already been completed and remaining 40% will be completed very soon.

When it comes to thinking different, trust Congress MLA Aslam Shaikh to be amongst the very best. And he proved it once again when he took the initiative to organize a skating rally on the eve of Republic day with nearly 100 skaters in tow spreading the patriotic fervor. Lending supporting and cheering them on was Archana Puran Singh, Dayanand Shetty (Daya of CID fame) and Abhishek Awasthi.

 The skating rally kicked off to a flying start at 8 am in the morning and patriotic songs filled the air adding to the spirit of celebration." One Nation, One People, One great Happy Republic" , roared Aslam Shaikh to the thunderous applause of thousands of people who overcame the morning blues to be there well in time to support their dynamic young MLA from Malad. The rally started at Malvani Fire station in Malad and culminated at Chandavarkar Road in Borivali. Snacks and refreshments were doing the rounds as the skaters gathered momentum, speed and great enthusiasm.

Dayanand Shetty in his address laid special emphasis on the role of parents in inculcating the patriotic spirit in children at an early age. Archana Puran Singh waxed eloquent about the great contribution made by Aslam Shaikh in changing the face of his constituency and making it more progressive. The shutter bugs worked overtime as Dayanand Shetty and Aslam Shaikh mingled freely with the children. A novel effort indeed which not just spread the patriotic fervor but also reminded people that “Health is wealth". Being an avid footballer himself, Aslam Shaikh creatively uses sports as a medium to convey strong social messages.

 We are sure he strongly believes that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. We simply have to nod in agreement. Way to Go Aslam Shaikh!!! Jai Hind!!! Happy Republic day!!!

Free Eye Camp organized by Shri. Aslam Shaikh (MLA) and Shri. Sanjay Nirupam(MP) Helpline at Mohd. Rafi Ground, Gate no.6, Malwani, Malad (West), Mumbai-400 095 on Sunday 30th January, 2010. Nearly 5000 peoples avail the facilities of eye check-up and about 4000 spectacles were distributed. Twenty Six Eye Specialist Doctors and 15 technicians attended the programme. 300 Congress Party Volunteers perform their duties. The programme was a great success. The VIP dignitaries Shri. Sanjay Nirupam (MP), Shri.  Aslam Shaikh (MLA), Smt. Jaya Tiwana Singh (Chairperson Prabhag Sammittee), Smt. Suvarna Madhyalkar (Municipal Counicllor), Shri. Ashok Sutrale (President-North District Congress Party) and Shri. Miran Naqvi (President - Congress Party Block no.62) attended the Free Eye Camp.

Dinner hosted by MP Shri Sanjay Nirupamji in the Honour of Shri Kapil Sibbal Hon'ble Union Minister for HRD, Communication, Science & technology.

It was a memorable moment for the under previleged kids, Where they all celebrated Mr.Shaikh's birthday in a resort with crackers, cakes, choclates and Water slides and even the senior citizens who are being taken care by Mr.shaikh also in the fondation had a lovely time chating and having lunch with him.The young MLA Llikes to spend his maximum time helping poor people and solving their problems on the top priority.

Senior Citizen's Welfare Association honoured MLA Aslam Shaikh on 'UNO Elder's Day' for helping senior citizens for all the problems faced by them. Mr. Shaikh also promised to arrange one office for them and also said to make a beautiful garden and workship place during his tenure. According to Mr. J. M. Sharma (Vice President), Mr. Aslam has also started a helpline for Senior Citizens, where they try to sort their problems over the phone only.

SAVE WATER' a project was intiated by MLA Aslam Shaikh and the cast and crew of film Rokkk. The event was complete a merger of politics and entertainment for the right cause. Various items like Charlie Chaplin act, dances and speeches by school students and stars were given on the project. The Guest present over there includes Tanushree Datta, Uditya Goswani, Shaad Randhwa, Producer - Krishna Chaudhary, Director - Rajesh Ramshinge and Municipal Corporators and other Congree leaders of Malad Constituency. The students from different schools were also present with the placards of Rokkk Save Water Campaign. In his speech, Mr. Aslam Shaikh said that being a responsible citizens, it is very important to be vigilant to face the scarcity of water in the near future. We have the technologies to be implemented in a right way such that rain harvest system, new projects on lakes & ponds. It is really important to train our kids to stop the wastage of water. The team of film Rokkk took a very active part to put the stickers of Save Water Project on autorickshaws and taxies.
